Worst experience. Ego driven. Spent most of session talking about himself. Wasted my time and money with this counselor. Very unethical. Tried talking about sexual issues which weren't even related to my appointment.
I was completely at ease during my appointment here. They went to great lengths to make sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time. Dr. Don Litchi was extremely professional and knowledgeable compared to other counselors I have taken my daughter to. He helped bring peace and resolve at a very difficult time in my life. My only complaint is his lack of availability, which is no fault of his own. On average, a follow up appointment would be six weeks plus.
I had a truly awful experience at Emerge. My counselor, Don Hartwell, was highly inappropriate and verged on unethical. He said things in therapy that were confusing and hurtful. I have been to three different counselors because of different places I've lived and I never left them confused or hurt. In general, I've had very positive experience with counselors, but Don Hartwell was destructive during a very painful time in my life. I will never recommend Emerge Ministries dut to my experience there (I went about five times).
