**************** apartments in **************** **. is a scam. They will take your whole deposit and more with made up damages. You can look at their reviews on ****** and see that everyone who has moved out has been gouged to death with painting fees, carpet fees, etc. I would advise not to rent here. They are not a fair and responsible company.
I wish I could give no stars. I never review anything but this has to be the most unprofessional company known. I give no stars. They have changed my lease information, deleted me access into my account where I access my lease payments maitence requests etc without any notice or legal reason, they dont answer phones or emails or requests, I am being charged more in illegal late fees on rent I partially paid than what I pay in a month of rent.. $1000 in fees, on $800 when i made a $300 payment and the next day am being charged late fees that 3 days later turned into attorney fees when I paid $300 toward my rent on the same month for 1 ... read more

I lived here from May 2018 until July 2020 (when Monarch management took over). When ******** family owned Village Square it was a fantastic place to live. Office staff was wonderful, maintenance was great. I did my research on Monarch and got out in time but my daughter stayed and boy, this new management company (Monarch) is trying to rip her off. I applied for one of their apartments in *****, **. called The Colonial off **************. In order to apply for these apartments their have you pay a application fee of $35 & $500 for the deposit before you are approved for the apartment which should be illegal for them to make a potential tenant to pay a deposit when they haven't been approved first, so I paid the application and deposit fee on June 13, 2023 and they denied me because of I had to many thing I'm paying out on my credit, so I ask when will I receive my mone... read more

Horrible. Wish I had never rented from them/village green. The property is disgusting yet they raise my rent 10%. Then they fire all the staff.

Awful place. I applied and paid the $100 holding fee as well as the $20 for the application. Shortly after submitting it I found out the community was not safe at all so I reached out to have my application canceled. I was told that my money had not been processed so a check in the full amount would be returned to me. Ive emailed multiple times to ask about the status of my money with no response. Is has now been 2 months. Very disappointed in their work ethic and how this business is run.

Unsure where to begin. It has been such an unpleasant experience renting from this property. The front office staff lack personalism and human empathy. Each person in the office speaks with a vulgar tone unwilling to partner and problem solve. Every request is a demand (with a fee attached), fees come every week. You can receive an additional fee for just about any/everything. The fees are so common- I am almost sure it pays someone's salary. I would not recommend this property to a homeless person. Beware and stay away.
