I saw Dr Bernat for just under 10 years, and she used to be excellent. Unfortunately during the last year of being under her care, I found she lacked empathy about my condition alongside my financial circumstances. At this time I was extremely unwell and in a vulnerable position. Her attitude and lack of insight caused my mental health to get worse. I lost complete faith in Dr Bernat’s ability to support my mental health. Update: I have only edited this review twice since I first posted it.
Went here a couple of years for severe depression. The appointment was £500. The lady lectured me for not having all my medical history even though I was not told I needed it. At one point I nearly left. I was meant to get a written report and didn't get it. All I got for £500 was a couple of pointers on what I should ask my NHS psychiatrist. Absolutely terrible service. Would not recommend. Do not waste your money.
I visited Dr Bernat after suffering for almost a year with unexplained extreme anxiety that was highly debilitating. My GP was unable to help, saying 'it was one of those things'. Dr Bernat obtained a thorough history, listening carefully to my story and immediately pinpointed the cause of my problems.
