I was hesitant about the way the program was set up but I realized it was the way I was thinking about my life that I projected onto the program. I had times of difficulty that I was able to overcome through the decisions made from myself and the counselors. I think mindfulness and the help of having an open minded community transform the way I was thinking.
The Elevate program guided me successfully to begin my addiction free path to a sober and joyful life. I have learned to love, honor and respect my self. To cut out toxic people and re-establish trust with my family and friends. I have started to feel healthy and strong through good nutrition, exercise and mindfullness.
My stay at the Tahoe Elevate was exactly what I needed. From the first day when I met Nicholas and Shaunna on my way to Detox, to my return to Tahoe and everyone here. I got a lot of words of wisdom from Alley and Ryan in the kitchen, since I worked in there everyday.
