Called earlier in the day and spoke to Jim, explained situation with my son's bicycle. Nothing major, but the chain was very loose, brakes were malfunctioning, etc. He said to bring it by any time and he'd be happy to take a look at it. We came by later in the day and Jim did a complete once-over on the bike and fixed everything it needed, and then some. One of the end caps on the handlebar was missing and he popped on a new one. Nice place near my house. It has everything you need for your bike. The staff is very friendly and help you with your questions. They have been there for awhile now.
One of my coworkers is a regular and told me to check this place out. They were absolutley packed with people when I was there (Weekend...sunny day...etc), but they made us feel like we were the only people in the store. We brought in two bikes for service that we picked up at a local used bike sale and Nate (cool bike guy) quickly identified the problems and fixed them on the spot. Really SATISFIED with my purchase! Very helpful And knowledgeable staff!
We were happy we ended at this bike shop due to a rude customer service by a well know shop in Skokie. My boy needed a simple fix on his bike, he didn't have the right tools to fix it and that other shop apparently was so busy to help even though there was no one there. Right after the other shop owner was so rude, my boy looked up Edgebrook and we quickly drove there. Excellent customer service.
Great Neighborhood bike shop! Have had several good experiences here. First, they helped me pick out my first commuting bike and I have been biking to work ever since! The bike was fairly priced and the sales person gave me a lot of helpful advice. I do most of my own maintenance, but sometimes there are issues I don't understand or don't have time to fix. At these times I take my bike here and they always do solid work for a fair price.
Great business to buy a bicycle.
Bike emergency on my son's bike. Popped in the store and repaired by the next day. The guy was very helpful (don't remember his name) and we later returned to purchase bike for my daughter. Extremely family friendly - lady who rang us up was charming. FYI - they are not opened on Weds. (we went on Weds. originally) but are opened on the weekend.
