The fees and lack of transparency at this vet is extremely disappointing. Under new ownership, the good doctors have left and what remains are price gouging people who give you an estimate and then exceed it by thousands. When asked about emergency service surcharges they explained “that’s just how we do it “ 3 days after the emergency. They mark up medications when other hospitals don’t . If you want top notch care and don’t want to be ripped off just go elsewhere. That’s the bottom line

Hope Vet was the best choice we could have made for our dog. She was sick and when we were referred to a neurologist we were nervous. Dr. Brewer was fantastic- explaining everything thoroughly and going over every option. The staff was friendly and helped since I couldn’t go in. When Shelby got too sick, the emergency room staff helped guide us and stayed on the phone with my husband until we could make a plan. They went above and beyond what is expected. I am from the Bay Area and had the tragic experience of having to put down my fur baby of 16 years, Bailey, on the day before Thanksgiving 2020 while my family was visiting Truckee for the holiday. The staff was caring and warm. The facility was clean and welcoming. Dr. Thompson was wonderful. I couldn’t have asked for a kinder vet to help me with the process of letting my little buddy go. Thank you all for supporting me on what was a very hard day.
My service dog Rhubarb recently fractured two teeth. I live three hours away and the staff did everything possible to enable us to be seen. Dr Stiles performed a root canal on one tooth and applied sealant to the other. I am so happy with the results! My dog, who is only five years old, gets to keep her tooth! I'll be in for a recheck in six months.
