No words can quite describe my experience. What ever negative impression you may get, multiply by at least a factor of ten. Booked a full size car through Toronto international airport website. Very embarrassed to admit I fell for their scam.. Their "FPO" service (Fuel Prepay Option) I was told it would guarantee that any fuel that it took to top off the tank at the time of return would not cost me more than $3.89/gal as long as it had 1/4 tank in it when I returned the vehicle. I will also embarrassingly admit I didn't ask twice the cost of that option. July 8, 2018 Approximately 12:10am Upon arrival at the EZ Rental counter in FLL, the agent, Ricardo, told us that they did not have any Standard size cars, as our contract had confirmed. He offered us a van. We told him that we didn't want a van. He then offered us a convertible. We told him that would work for us. This company is the worst Rental Car Company I have ever used! They allowed me to exit with one car that's brakes were vibrating excessively. The second car they gave me was not like the car I had previously, it seated 5 instead of 7! The third car seated 7 and then we realized we had left a clip that held oiur GPS in the first car. We rented a mini-van for our family vacation in Orlando April 5-14. The online reservation process was quick and easy however, that was the only part of the experience that was pleasant. The vehicle checkout process needs to improve dramatically! I was asked to upgrade the vehicle 5-6 times!! I reserved a car months in advance because of their appealing prices. I paid their $15 pre-payment. My reservation was successful, no issues. Then, I fly across country, walk to the E Z Rent A Car airport off site pickup location. I arrive about the time I indicated on the car reservation that I'd be there. We rented a car at Orlando airport. The rental agent asked if we would like to turn on the EZ Pass instead of having to find money for tolls. I said sure. I was NEVER EVER told it would be a $9.99 per day charge!! Other companies only charge for the tolls. Very deceptive practice. Rented a vehicle from the Denver Airport location, the gentleman (Aric) who assisted us offered us an upgraded vehicle and I asked numerous times would there be a charge for the upgrade and he stated every time "no there would NOT be a charge" I did agree to the re-fuel and EZ Toll charges for the convenience. Terrible! Front desk was unhelpful, did not honor quoted price and attempted to take advantage of me based upon my age. This company and their customer service are not responsive to phone calls and hardly reply to emails. I simply am seeking to be reimbursed for the overcharge on my card, not for the entire bill, however they are not helpful in rectifying this issue in any way.
