I used the automated system to request a medication renewal on July 27th. It said the request had been submitted to to my doctor... I called today and somehow the request didn't go through. There's no record of it. I've got nothing nice to say about this VA anymore.
the Leavenworth VA treats veterans like criminals and as if their health and life dont matter.... my wife and I had an issue with a nurse on Monday June 22, 2020 and their corrective action was to have someone call with no authority whatsoever in regards to fixing the problem call us to attempt to sweep it under the rug so to speak... i get mistreated more by the VA than by people calling soldiers "baby killer", more than by people with severe racism in their hearts calling me spic or wet back... this should be illegal, the ... read more

RecommendedI appreciate some of the things the va does. today on the other hand was not one of those days. I'd like to shine light on how a nurse was rude to me and my husband and proceeded to pick a fight all through the hospital. I am my husbands caregiver. my husband had a very bad night with his nightmares he was shaking all day. His knee gave out in PT. I have been going to the Topeka VA for about 18 years, every time I need a test, and X-ray, a scan, or procedure it is done with the quickness, or as soon as possible. There will always been people with attitudes, but I seldom run into that at this location or at our CBOC in Junction City. They both have been helpful and courteous of me being a veteran, and not always understanding the latest, or most resent things happening at the VA, and they keep me aware and up to date.
