Such a great welcome here, a great place to relax and enjoy the fantastic scenery. It was our 3rd stay here and now looking for our next visit.
I stayed overnight at the Potting Shed in early November whilst fast packing on the Pennine Way. What an absolute gem, such cosy and warm accommodation, and it is obvious the owners have put lots of thought into what is or might be needed by guests. Loved the personalised welcome note, the heater was on, the fire laid, and there was plenty of food and drink, in part included in the price and also additional supplies available to buy. We stayed in the Potting Shed in early August. We always like to seek out quirky stays; having previously stayed in a converted sheep shed, a pig barn and a glamping yurt. But we can honest say this exceeded our expectations and has been our favourite so far. There isn't anything the hosts haven't thought of. Stayed here for my last night solo hiking the Pennine Way and I look forward to returning one day when I can come back to finish the trail. I arrived late and left early so did not meet the hosts but personal touches such as my name on the information sheet and a Canadian flag waving on the post, made me feel very welcome and not just another anonymous guest. I stayed at the Pennine Potting Shed for one night before walking on the Pennine Way the next day. Everything about the stay was impressive. Online booking process easy and efficient. Communication from proprietors clear and helpful. The Potting Shed itself is a wonder. Spotlessly clean, cosy, peaceful and fitted out with loads of thoughtful touches, including breakfast items and plenty of food to make a packed lunch. I loved it here and hope to return.
