There is no modern booking or reminder system… it’s fairly common elsewhere to send reminders, let alone just a confirmation email/text with appointment details when made. Also, waiting outside in the cold from 7.30am to be in of line for allocation of drop-in appointments starting 8am, and then have to wait an hour or longer to actually have the appointment.
