I would like to know who makes the decision regarding the clinical pathway, ie receptionist ,nurse, nurse practitioner or a doctor? I find it very embarrassing having to explain personal medical information to a non medical trained person in front of a crowded waiting room. I feel as though I am being assessed or triaged by the receptionist.l'm sure this approach is in contrast to the ethics of the Caldicott principles.May I add that in all my years attending this surgery I have always found the GP's and nurses first class.

Always polite and helpful, excellent service. Very hard to contact on the phone but this is not their fault but due to unmanageable caseload and expectations set by the government.
This is a fantastic GP practice. Really pleasant and genuinely helpful reception staff so it's not a trauma to ring up. Caring and helpful GPs and nurses. I have experience of my elderly parent's GP practice which is horrifically poor. Dr Mackenzie's practice is a shining light in the current stressful climate.
I have always been extremely satisfied with this practice.All the medical staff are excellent.The receptionist are extremely helpful.
