After experiencing sciatica pain for many months, Dr. Zannikos was highly recommended by my pain doctor . He was well spoken and very confident that he could help me. After meeting Dr. Zannikos, I felt that I could trust him totally. In November 2021, Dr. Zannikos performed a spinal fusion for me. Once I made the decision to move forward with the surgery, Dr. Zannikos called me at home personally to answer my questions and put my mind at ease. I had a herniated disc at C6 that was compressing my spinal cord. Dr. Zannikos took time to explain to me the procedure that I'd need and answered my questions. Dr. Zannikos is thoughtful in his responses, articulate and kind. He not only visited me in the PACU post-surgery, but also in my room the evening of surgery and the following morning. I highly recommend him.
My experience with Dr. Zannikos was truly excellent. I had been treated elsewhere for pain but my injections worked for less time every time I had them. Dr. Zannikos was recommended by a friend who had had back surgery done by Dr. Zannikos about 12 months prior to mine. Dr. Zannikos was excellent. I was at the point that my arms and hands had no strength. I had difficulty even lifting my grandchildren up because my arms could not handle the weight. Dr. Zannikos changed everything with my ACDF C4-C7 with a lovely plate and screws. My pain level is essentially down to zero i can play and hold my grandkids without my hands shaking. I was having severe difficulty using my right hand with weakness and numbness. I did go to Dr. Zannikos for a consultation. He saw my MRI and EMG, as well as xrays I had in his clinic. He reviewed all the testing with me and explained to me what is going on as well as what my surgical options were. He addressed my concerns about surgery. He recommended a C5-6 cervical disc replacement as the least invasive procedure likely to succeed.
