The absolute worst orthopedic diagnostian !! He did hip revision surgery on me and when installing cable around femur bone left cable 1/2" too long, sticking in soft tissue. After 1 year of him trying to figure out my acute pain and no answer,went to hospital for special surgery and then figured it out in 20 minutes.2nd surgery required to repair his mistake. When I asked him about my findings, his quote "it could have been contributory". This is a mismanaged way way to busy office. Steer clear
I had my knee surgery 3 weeks ago every thing went like they said, the Hospital was great every body was right there for me. Dr. Zelicof is great, I all ready recommended to one of my friends
In mid May I have both knees replaced.Dr. Z's surgical team, nurses and support staff were EXCEPTIONAL. His patent folder on "knee replacement "walks you thru your upcoming procedure... it accounts for individual needs and responsibilities, managing your pain levels with your meds., being your own advocate, and setting goals for your recovery, are a few of the lessons I learned. I AM SO HAPPY WITH MY PROCEDURES & RECOVERY!
The care taken of you by the whole staff from diagnosis through pre and post surgery is top notch you could not be in better hands.
Need a knee replacement make an appointment with Dr. Zelicof. You will not regret it. He is amazing.
My experience with Dr. Zelicof and his staff (both in his office and at Montefiore New Rochelle) was the best. I had a total hip replacement three weeks ago, and the difference between how I feel now versus a month ago is like night and day! I've had little to no pain, and my recuperation has been nothing short of amazing. I'll eventually need my other hip replaced, but given my experience, I know who I'm seeing when that time comes! I have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Z and his team!
I had two total hip replacements at Montefiore new Rochelle hospital. dr. Steven Zelicof was my surgeon. He has his own operating and recovery rooms and a suite of private rooms for patients who stay nights. The anesthesiologists were very informative an orthopedic physician assistant (pa) is on call 24 hours a day. At 6 am you wake up for coffee and the best mini muffins. My surgery was done Friday morning and I was discharged Sunday afternoon. It was an almost pain free experience.
Dr. Zelicof is an excellent orthopedic surgeon. I had knee replacement , and I was up walking that day. I highly recommend him.
