Strange how extreme these reviews are, in both directions. My sense is that Dr. Kates either has mood swings or maybe he just doesn't favor some people for personal reasons. Or, perhaps he just overbooks himself and is in a rush to get you out of there. All seem plausible. I find his impatience troubling, and he comes across as condescending and arrogant.
I never have a problem with the doctors at this office in Worcester they are always helpful and consistent but the secretary at the front desk seem like they don’t want to be bothered when checking in and out of this office . If the front desk had a better attitude and a better way of helping people it would be a better place .

I have taken both of my children to Worcester Dermatology and am happy with them! Several years ago, Kathy Rose treated my son for a planters wart and was spot on. She is very down to earth and even probed my son to talk about any other skin concerns. Last year I brought my daughter there for some skin concerns. Stephanie Goodrich was extremely compassionate and empathetic and listened to my daughter. She suggested a skin regimen that my daughter could follow. Joanna was amazing with my Mira dry procedure. I am not good with needles AT ALL and she did a great job with me. Hardly even felt it. 10/10 would recommend

Dr. Kates and his staff are excellent. We found the office staff courteous, friendly, and helpful. We've been patients of Dr. Kates for many years and have always appreciated his thoroughness in his exams, and thoughfulness in addressing our concerns. He's got a good sense of humor and is very professional.
The staff was pleasant and helpful. Dr. Kates was knowledgeable, professional and has great interpersonal skills. Highly recommend!
This place is a factory where numbers count and patients do not matter.I took my mother there and then she tried to call and seek a follow up appointment and they would never return the call. My mother left message after message for the P.A> Christine Hulbert but they are too busy with seeing hundreds of other patients to bother calling back my poor mother.
