Had phlebotomy yesterday with some hesitation, having had poor experiences here so I moved surgery. Had to go this time due visits to A&E in early May, for left chest pain, and my new GP refer, led to Tower Hill. On this occasion the experience was very good; a courteous, efficient & polite phlebotomist took my blood, even had a sense of humour when I asked "microscopic, eggcup, teacup, bucket, or bowl". Arrived 10 minutes early, seen after 5 minutes & out in under 10. She is probably NHS and not surgery staff.
On various occasions a healthcare assistant accessed my daughters and late wife's medical records without a legitimate reason and then shared with 3rd parties. An in house audit of their systems confirmed this. The practice admitted all of this and apologised although the culprit denied the 3rd party disclosure. Worst experience in my life with a visit to the nurse, I believe her name was Shanon A very frustrated woman who obviously didn’t enjoy her job, also so judgemental with every single answer that I give, very bad attitude, honesty she took all my energy. Once you get to see the doctors they are professional, competent and helpful however the administration and management of this practice is shocking. 1. Need to have professional receptionist/call handlers (staff who are not rude) - Receptionist have suddenly become a medical experts and judgmental 2. Restore online and Patient access for booking etc.
