I saw Dr Spiegel for several issues and she has been very helpful . Gentle bedside manners and a serious Dr who thinks before she speak..
She is delightful, warm, and is a good listener. I have not been seen by a physician that impresses me more than Dr. Spiegel.
When meeting with Dr. Spiegel the first time via teleconference, she was well-informed and knowledgeable of my complex health issues. I felt relieved and assured I would get better soon.
This was a poor experience with Dr. Spiegel. UVA in general is really sub-par these days, and extremely expensive compared to other practices. I guess doctors are burned out, but the lack of concern about serious symptoms, lack of follow-up, and generally poor communication was really awful, especially when the bills are so high. I decided to move on from this practice. Un-attentive and a lack of concern for patient.
Dr. Spiegel is in the Medicaid Virginia database. We made an appointment several weeks ago for my mother who is in a wheelchair and needs to be seen by a primary care physician after a bypass surgery. After we arrived with great effort to the office, the receptionist told us that Dr Spiegel would not see my mother because they were sure Medicaid would not pay them for the visit.
Dr. Spiegel is easy to get an appointment with, warm and listens well. I know many women in Vienna who see her and we all highly recommend her.
