Dr. Looby has been my Orthopedic surgeon since 2009 & is beyond fantastic! My first surgery done by him was my left knee in '09. I ended up tearing my MCL less than a year later and had a second knee scope in 2010. I continued to see Dr Looby for injections following surgery. He was nothing but kind & helpful. Dr. Looby told me I needed a total knee replacement. I had it done in 2011. I did every exercise after surgery that he and the physical therapists told me to do. As of right now, 2015, I still have a limp and a gait that causes pain. It never healed correctly. He was rude and unprofessional. I feel as though he did the surgery for his own benefit. Dr Looby has done surgery on me and many friends and family. He is always kind and considerate. Wait times can be a bit long because he is busy. My surgery outcomes have been very good and I recommend him to all. His staff is very friendly and helpful with scheduling, insurance, etc.
He is a horrible surgeon. He did my rotator cuff, he wouldn't do anything for my pain. I went in several times to try to get follow up care. He wouldn't do anything. It took me 18 months to be able to go back to a very part time job. It is 3 years later, I am still dealing with a painful shoulder. I made an appointment to get in with on of the doctors in his practice. He made it so I can't get any help for my left shoulder now. I have had multiple knee surgeries including a replacement and a shoulder repair by Dr. Looby. He is always kind, conversational and doesn't even "I told you so" when I deserved it. The repairs were beyond expectations and I've returned to full functionality. Wait time is somewhat extended--usually because of an emergency or a surgery that went longer than anticipated. His staff is helpful and returns calls when warranted. I have sent many patients his way for similar work to mine, and have yet to have an unhappy referral. I... read more
Dr. Looby kept me from further injuring myself since I was unaware that I had torn my ACL his diagnosis was quick and accurate. The surgery went without hitch and he was kind and a great professional. You can tell he's very busy, but I assure you, it's because he's very good.
Dr. Looby was puctual, professional and above all, kind. His was a second opinion I was seeking and he did a far more extensive exam etc than the first physician. He even phoned me the test results HIMSELF. In the end, my condition was not orthopedic and he gave me a solid referral to a physician who could help me. The negative comments on Dr. Looby stunned me. I saw the exact opposite from him and his staff. They were all very kind and considerate. I would definitely see him again and recommend him to friends and family.
Dr. Looby & his staff are consumate professionals who truly care about people & their recovery. My son has had 2 different surgeries (football injuries) a torn pec & a shoulder scope, Dr. Loob handled both surgeries(with ease.) He made my son as comfortable as possible & helped him heal as quickly as would be reasonable without risking further injury. His knowledge, skill & bedside manner put us at ease immediately.
