She would make up appointments and dropped me for that. She would over prescribed meds. Very unprofessional
Do not go to her, do not trust her. She was constantly unprofessional, overprescribed me medication and borderline gaslit me on multiple occasions. She didn't tell me side effects of medications upfront even when I asked. During our last appointment she hung up on me and then called my mother and lied to her, telling her I was unstable and misusing my medication. She had forgotten that I was no longer a minor, even though I had told her that I was 18 countless times. Do not send your child to her.
Although the medications she prescribed are effective, she is unprofessional in every other aspect of her practice. She is not very warm or empathetic and gives insufficient advice. I had to ween off one medication to switch to another, and her directions to ween off made me incredibly sick from side effects. She recommended stopping my other meds cold turkey to help, which seemed reckless given how my system reacted even from weening of my old meds too quickly. Believes medicine solves problems, does NOT prioritize wellbeing of patients, terribly disorganized/poor communicator, stood me up for multiple appointments, and forgot about the medication she prescribed me. TERRIBLE!
My daughter actually never got to see her. They cancelled twice on us with no notice. The receptionist was ill mannered and bothered and there was a serious lack of empathy. We lost precious time waiting weeks for an appointment that they ultimately cancelled. I would not recommend this practice.
I have found Dr. Hemanth to be an incredibly empathetic and understanding psychiatrist. My daughter has improved tremendously with her guidance and medication management.
