Personable, professional and knowledgeable. Talking with Dr. Walker is like talking to an old friend. A friend who understands his patients who are in pain and can help them!
I would not recommend Ortho VA or Dr Walker. They lied about not receiving my medical info from referring family practice despite my family practice showing me the confirmation fax page. They pushed me to do xrays that I did not need because I had already done xrays and am mri before being referred to them. They neglected to tell me that the release form for my images was at the admin desk. I filled out the form and faxed it to Carillion Pearisburg imaging from ortho VA and received confirmation page from Carillion. Finally ... read more

I was referred to Dr. Walker by Dr. Chris Young because he was retiring. Being recommended by Dr. Young is high praise and after my first visit with Dr. Walker, I knew he deserved that recommendation! Very caring, professional, friendly and he really listens to you. Genuinely wants you to be the best you can be. The staff is also very friendly and efficient. Minimal wait time and a clean environment. I am very happy with Ortho Virginia and with Dr. Walker.
Dr Matt Walker is a National Treasure for serious orthopedic surgery and I am blessed to have met him when I needed some emergency shoulder work. Dr Walker is genuine and unique. He shared his personal cell number following the emergency work and was regularly checking up on my immediate progress with messages to my wife.
