I will be forever grateful that Dr. Selassie was willing to treat or advise the three members of my family who were having grandiose thoughts coupled with lack of sleep. One was uncomfortable seeing him, so Dr. Selassie told him about the walk-in Crisis Clinic at Sheppard-Pratt. He made time to see me in person at 7AM when another one was advised not to take lithium, even though his behavior was becoming erratic enough to attract police attention. He provided me with a reference on the efficacy of lithium on reducing suicide... read more
Saw him for years. He doesnt listen. He wanted to put me back on a medication that caused akathisia. Stay away.
Saw him from my preteens into early adulthood. Dr. Selassie is a caring, compassionate doctor. Both of my children have seen doctor Selassie for over 5 years. Not only does Dr. Selassie take time with his patients, but he also returns our calls, the same day, and takes time to listen and discuss our children's needs. He is just a very busy doctor.
Dr. Salassie is a proven fine doctor that truly cares for his patients.
He’s a great doctor and, somehow, a better person.
We were supposed to have a check up meeting after he had not prescribed medication the first session to speak to my therapist. We scheduled a meeting and the office did not follow up with me, when I called they had no confirmation of me going or my email or my phone number which I had given to them. They told me they would send me an email before the time of our call and I never heard anything. I couldn’t find his email and called the office 10+ times to no response. So unprofessional, and unhelpful. Would not recommend for ... read more
1. He is overpriced for the ñack of care you recieve 2. He invalidated my symptoms and could not get follow up appoints until every few weeks 3. Did not warn me about sode effects or the dangers pf going cold turkey off a drug. He does not care about his patients
Dr. Selassie is professional, extremely knowledgeable and very understanding. I have been a patient for over 15 years and highly recommend this psychiatrist. He understands and listens to you, offering advice and recommendations to ease whatever may be troubling you.
