Chesapeake Urology moved their offices to another location 12 miles away and did not let this patient know about it. Arriving for my 11AM appointment at a location I had been to several times before, a notice on the door said the office was closed. No forward address listed. A phone number provided put me on hold consistently for about 45 minutes. I finally got their new address from the building manager. Excellent all around. Talks unusually fast, however, so be prepared to ask him to repeat information.
Dr. Bloom is personable and understanding. My visits with him have been on time and I have trust and confidence in his manner.
My overall experience has always been excellent.
Honestly very disappointing. Went to him with a significant amount of pain in my kidney. Said there was no infection will do an ultrasound in two weeks. Physically walked me out...no recommendations, nothing on whats wrong. Ultrasound, no blockage. Ok, Ill see you later. But I am still having kidney trouble. No blood tests? I guess if you don't have a blockage or infection good luck. I guess those are the only two diagnosis for kidney pain...Never again.
Thorough and knowledgeable
I have been a patient of Dr. Bloom's for over10 years. Dr. Bloom always takes the time to explain my condition and to offer treatment options. He is very thorough.
Dr. Bloom is an excellent doctor and surgeon. He puts me at ease under the most stressful situations with his kindness, demeanor, and off the charts knowledge. You'll know your in good hands after your first visit. His team of employees at the Rockville, MD office/ambulatory care center are top notch as well, always friendly and making sure you're comfortable. I highly recommend Dr. Bloom.
I am a patient of Dr. Bloom since 2002 when he performed a successful operation on my benign enlarged prostate. In September, 2015 I was diagnosed with a bladder cancer. Dr. Bloom performed a TURB-T operation after which I had a 6-weeks BCG bio-therapy. The last biopsy in January, 2016 was negative. I am highly grateful to him for what he has done for me, and consider myself to be lucky to be treated by Dr. Bloom who is an outstanding physician. He is highly respected by the medical stuff.
