You will wait a long time to see this doctor. However this man has kept me standing up-right. I was born with a spinal disease and I could not thank him enough for his caring words, quick recovery, and his honest personality. He is not one to just put you under the knife he will try and fix you first this doctor is amazing and Dr. T our family loves you you are the best doctos out there

I had an L4-5 microdiscectomy in April '06. I was in excruciating pain before the surgery and I am SO much better now. I consider the surgery a tremendous success. Dr. Thalgott was great, as was his staff. His bill was incredibly fair, especially compared to what the pain management doctor charged for my useless nerve root block injections. The injections cost MORE than the surgery. Yes, Dr. Thalgott is always behind schedule for office visits, but they warn you before your first visit, so you're always prepared...or should ... read more

I had spinal fusion of L4-L5-S1 in 1999 by the hand of Dr. Thalgott. He is a very busy doctor and by my experience, understandably so... he is worth the wait. The pain from surgery at the time is practically unavoidable, however for me, I was barely able to walk prior to the surgery. I had may comments from other patients in physical therapy who were amazed at the short recovery time I experienced. The PT was amazed at the regimen Dr. T. prescribed for me. Thalgott is a smooth, approachable man who appeared to have the knowledge, skill and credentials I needed for back surgery, but after two failed surgeries he was ready to basically give up. He is arrogant and unwilling to admit he made mistakes. His average wait time is 1-2 hours! His office staff is curt, probably due to the long suffering patients who are waiting. He was willing to give me all the drugs I could take to keep me from complaining. He failed to do a complete laminectomy on my "L3,4" during the first surgery, a... read more
