My husband had a A c-4&5 fusion in 1994 never had a problem since! I had a ACDF on My 16, 2011. Today is day 25 after my surgery I feel wonderful! He is a great surgeon!!
I have a lot to thank this doctor for making me feel so much better. I had a herniated disk that crushed and the pain in my arm was just awful. he operated on me, and did a fusion on my c5 - c6 i think, and i have no more pain. I am to thankful to what he did, i think he is an angel, and after i didn't have anymore insurance for being unemployed, i requested if he could talk to me at least once more, and he called me at my house and spoke to me and answer to my questions. I think he is an angel blessing from God.
I have had 2 spinal surgeries from Dr. Thalgott. he is the only Dr. that knows my spinal injury and the only Dr. that I trust. if you think he has a bad attitude he really does not...he is just a very busy man. once you get to know him he's actually comical. he is getting ready to treat me for another spinal surgery but he has always cared and never given me any grief. he really is one of the best Dr's. I had a surgery done by Dr. thalgott and my results were horrible!!! I had scoliosis prior to the surgery I was 11 at the time. In 07 I saw a doctor in cali and he told me my screws were no longer attached to my rods. And what Dr. Thalgott did was completely wrong. He should have fused my whole spine but in reality he only fused half causing a lot of problems. I would not refer any friends nor family to this pathetic Docter.
It is unfortunate,the pressure&unfounded negative comments Dr.T has to be burdened with.I have had care from Dr.T since 0401.Due to a blown disk and gross sciatic syndrome fusion of the L4/5 was done.The prognosis was up front saying that in 5 yrs I would prob be symptomatic again due/my ankylosing spondlitis.From 01through04 I was followed by Dr.T & underwent a course of facet joint injections to stay off symptoms.It was in mid 08 CAT scans revealed progressing scoliosis and opposite site degeneration.I underwent a double d... read more
I have had 2 surgeries with Thalgott, low back fusion and 3 vertebrea in my neck.I believe he is the best spine doc in the wst. hemisphere. Hes cutting edge brilliant, patient, careing to a fault and goes out of his way many days doing extra time., He is a teacher/mentor for many. Inventor of inovative surgical tools such as the balloon used to push organs aside so open surgery is not necessary. I would not have any other surgeon after my experience with him. I was very unhappy with him. he diagnosed me with spinal stenosis, and when i asked what did that mean, he said, "google it." that was his answer! didn't bother to explain. he had a very unfriendly way about him as well. I was very displeased with him and not only will not return, but have advised people i have come across to stay away from his practice.

Dr. Thalgott is the only doctor I trust to treat my back injury. The surgery he performed on me was an anterior interbody fusion in my lumar area.Before this major surgery I was in constant pain.After the surgery I felt like the injury never happened. I returned to work a few months later, and I was in the hospital for only four days,and walking on the first day with no complications. Thank you Dr. Thalgott!!
