I would recomend any one to go to Dr Gary Ackerman. You will get excellent care from him and everyohne in his office is top notch too. They care about thier patients, and it shows all the time!
Dr Ackerman was engaged while I explained my hip pain. He Xray'd and ordered an MRI (on site) like any ortho would do but, what I didn't expect was a call from the doctor in the early evening asking me if I had some time to discuss results. Wow, 1. Never had a doctor ask me if I had time to discuss results over phone and 2. Calling me after reviewing my results in the evening was amazing. Dr. Gary Ackerman performed a hip replacement for me and I can not state in words what an outstanding outcome I had. During the consultation he was very informative about the process, he took the time to explain the process and was very attentive to my questions and concerns. I had Bi-Lateral knee replacement Sept. 15th and after 1 month i was walking pretty good without any help. Now its 2 months gone and i am feeling great and getting around really well. Dr. Ackerman said on my right knee it was the worst he has ever seen in his practice. And now it looks like soon i will be back to full activities. His staff all around are the best.
Dr Ackerman preformed rotator cuff surgery on me 3 months ago today. I have not had 10% of the paid since the surgery that I had prior to surgery. He told me before the procedure that he would do the best he could do. The night of the surgery, he called me at home at 10:30pm to tell me "Brian, I fixed your shoulder" . Most impressive experience of my many orthopedic procedures ! I would recommend him to anyone !!
Dr. Ackerman is a professional with a good bedside manner. He operated on my knee and I had a good recovery. My knee is functioning well and I am continuing with my life activities as I did before surgery. I would recommend him highly to anyone who needs knee surgery. I would also recommend the Physical Therapy program to which he sent me.
I would trust Dr Ackerman with any member of my family. He listens to you and explains your situation in detail after taking xrays /MRI. He does not rush you into a decision. He was right on point with my total hip replacement. He is very compassionate and spends lots of time with you. Had consulted with two doctors prior to seeing Dr. Ackerman in regards to a total knee replacement surgery. After our first meeting I was convinced that Dr. Ackerman was going to preform the surgery. During the first visit and all that have followed since December 2019 I never have felt rushed. All my questions and concerns are answered in clear and precise terms. Dr Ackerman is the best - I have heard of this and now I am a believer after my full hip replacement last month. Dr. Ackerman took the time to explain the procedure, benefits (Normal movement) and possible complications as well as the specifics of the implant replacing my hip joint. The outcome has been excellent and less than 1 month later I am walking better than I have for years with more to come. Thank you to Dr Ackerman, Jeneva, and all the staff. BTW the physical therapy staff and Jupiter Medical was excellent as well.
