From the very first visit I was comfortable with Dr Ackerman he took the time to explain the surgery to me and my wife. He is very concerned about his patients, with my first one I had a problem I called about just as the office was closing, he had me come down to the office so he could see what problem I had and I live 1hr and 49 minutes away, he said he'd wait and he did.He has a fine reputation at Jupiter Medical Center as a Doctor who takes personal interest in his patients.I've had both knees done and I am thankful to h... read more
I recently had a right hip replacement done by Dr Ackerman. Eight years ago he replaced my left hip. I would highly recommend him! Procedures have improved since my last replacement. I was in the hospital one night and released early the next afternoon. I was up shortly arriving in my room at my request. They now have a phone Application that allowed me to avoiding having a physical therapist come to my home or a need to go to physical therapy. A cost and time savings. I was referred to Dr. Ackerman for a full hip replacement. He and his staff were professional, compassionate, empathetic, and worked diligently to assist in scheduling my surgery in a timely fashion. Dr. Ackerman took the time to address my questions and explain the process from surgery to recovery, he followed up several times after surgery - observing my hospital therapy and confirming safe practices at home. Dr. Ackerman and his staff at Palm Beach Sports Medicine are caring, competent, and very knowledgeable. Made having knee surgery almost stress free. Plus, I've had several follow up appointments to make sure the healing process is progressing as it should. Would definitely recommend Dr. Ackerman and his team for any orthopedic needs.

When I think back to post-surgery day 2 (sunday) the overall calm my wife & I were given by Dr. Ackerman visit Priceless! His pride of work,his broader smile. Thank you 5 years going strong.
Tore my lateral meniscus, followed up with Dr. Ackerman who did a great surgical repair. My knee is actually in better shape now than it was before the surgery, he cleaned out extraneous torn cartilage and I have been very pleased with his service.
Dr. Ackerman is absolutely amazing. Hands down, the most compassionate surgeon that I have ever met. He is very thorough, and will educate you on all options, surgical and non-surgical. He has performed 2 knee surgeries on me, one of which being a partial replacement. He is patient, kind, and even takes time to make sure that you are using your crutches correctly. Dr. Ackerman gave me my life back! He performed an anterior total hip replacement with outstanding results. He's an excellent surgeon with first-class credentials, and I highly, highly recommended.
