The nurses in the recovery area are beyond wonderful. Steven was so helpful and even went out of his way to leave a vm in my cp to inform me that my dad has been moved to a regular room. Very caring and a blessing to the sick n their families.

I came in Monday for wound check of infection. My concerns are dismissed. I asked pa to verify with doctor if I should continue with appt as scheduled Wednesday. Received call back to come in Wednesday at scheduled time for post op pin removal. I drove an hour there, waited 1.5 hrs to see doctor to then was told it was scheduled too early and I need to reschedule for two weeks later. Frustrated
Business response:
Hi Cheryl, I'm sorry to hear that you had a difficult time on Monday, and that your concerns were not adequately heard. I understand that it must be very frustrating for you to drive an hour to get to the hospital and wait for an appointment which never happens. If you would like to speak with a patient advocate, please send us a private message with your email and phone number. We'd like to get to the bottom of this issue to make sure it does not happen again. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience you experienced, and we... read more
The nurses where great. The appoint for the process was for 7:00am. They took her back to get her ready at 6:50am, they didn't start the procedure until 11:30am because someone scheduled the doctor for 3 procedures at the same time. A patient should not have to wait for 4 and a half hours because someone was dumb enough to schedule 3 procedures at the same time. Wow what patient care.
Business response:
Hi Steven, I am sorry to hear that you had a negative experience during your visit to Washington Hospital Center the other day. We agree that having a short wait for a medical procedure is much more preferable than a 4 and a half hour wait. If the two of you would like to speak with a patient advocate regarding the quality of your care, please private message us with your phone number and email address, and I can connect both of you to a member of our patient advocacy team. Thank-you, Christine H. - MedStar Health Digital Te... read more
