So far my experience with Dr. Ferkel has been excellent! My nickname for him is the doc that rocks!
Difficulty scheduling the surgery initially, but might have been a problem with insurance. Post-op experience was amazing. Great communication all around. His staff is beyond friendly. Operation went perfectly. Only reason the wait is a bit longer at appointments is because Ferkel stays with his patients until every one of their questions is answered.
I would recommend Dr. Ferkel to everyone. This guy is amazing at what he does. I am glad he did my surgery. You are in very good hands with him. You can 100% trust him.
He worked me into his schedule when other surgeons were telling me they couldn't even talk to me for 2 to 8 weeks, dispite the fact it was an emergency.
Great Doctor! He is straight to the point and makes you feel comfortable. I had my first surgery ( knee surgery) with him; it went very well!
Dr. Ferkel took care of me after identifying that I had ruptured my Achilles. He and the SCOI staff were fantastic. Cannot day enough good things about his bedside manner and my experience before, during and after surgery. Got me into surgery immediately and post surgery his team was always great with casts, scheduling, etc. Never felt rushed when I was with him. It is healing incredibly well! Thanks Dr. Ferkel!
Dr. Ferkel is by far the most knowledgeable and congenial doctor I have ever met. He engages you in a conversation, rather than talking down to you, as some doctors tend to do. He knows his stuff. He gives you options. He genuinely cares about his patients. If you or anyone in your family is in need of "Orthopedic Surgery," your search should end here.
Dr Ferkel was super helpful and informative, gave great advice, and did excellent work on my foot. I was particularly impressed at the attention with which he followed my progress post-surgery. My only criticism is that wait times were often long at SCOI Van Nuys.
Dr. Ferkel he’s an excellent doctor. The staff of his office in Porter Ranch and Van Nuys are amazing. I had surgery on my ankle and believe it or not it feels like I never had any type of surgery because of the fact that if feels great. His staff his secretary are amazing with the appointments and they take well care of all the patients. So thank you to all and keep up the work. You’re all doing an amazing job.
