Dr. Katz was very professional, very knowledgeable, and at the same time, very caring. He was excellent at explaining what he found in his examination of my hands and the kinds of treatments that are appropriate for my condition. He was also clear at explaining what he suggested for treatment options.
Dr. Katz is treating my numb right hand. He did carpel tunnel surgery on me. He is very caring and gentle. I felt nothing during the procedure and had no pain afterward. He was careful to explain what he would be doing and what I could expect afterwards. I am totally satisfied with him and the entire staff at Athens Orthopedic Clinic.
Very professional with a great bedside manner. I had surgery on my left hand, Dr. Katz and his surgical staff were so nice and put me at ease through the whole process. I suffer from PTSD and severe anxiety and Dr. Katz and staff were so amazing. They walked me through the entire process. They even worked with me on how to position my arm so I would not have any discomfort from a past shoulder injury during my hand surgery. Dr. Katz truly cares about his work and his patients.
This is my third surgery with Dr. Katz (He did two of them the same day). The results were fantastic, and he and his crew demonstrated care and kindness in all their work. We are blessed to have him in Athens, GA, and I would recommend him to anyone with any hand motion or pain. Thank you excellent Dr. Katz and staff!
I have had surgery on two "trigger fingers", one on each hand. The surgery was quick; he explained everything he did; he even let me see the incision he was working from in the surgery. The best part is, both fingers now work. That is the key to having a highly rated specialist. He is very easy to talk to.
Dr, Katz was very professional and answered ll my questions. I really appreciated the AWAKE procedure being offered and carried out. I did not however appreciate having a scheduled surgery at 9:30 occuring at 12:42. No one ever came to the waiting room to offer an explanation for the delay. When the follow up nurse called to see how I was and asked what they could do to improve their services I told her what happened but she didn't seem to care. Our time is as valuable as the medical staff.
