Excellent doctor-very professional and truly cares for his patients. He works independently and in a timely manner. He wants what’s best for his patients. I had local anesthesia and was in and out of the operating room and recovery in no time. I never even had to take any prescribed pain medicine after my surgery. I highly recommend Dr David Katz!!!
Dr. Katz performed carpal tunnel release on my left hand , he did it under local anesthesia, a few shots in the wrist only a little pain , very tolerable. I’m very pleased with my surgery & Dr. Katz !! I’m surprised at how simple it was & hardly any pain . Only going to be out of work for 2 weeks & that’s only because my job is very physical. Awesome treatment & very pleased
Dr Katz introduced me to the WALANT wide away surgery for my carpal tunnel - it was amazing! He told me there would be no pain and he was right - the injection to deaden my wrist did not even hurt. My surgery only took 13 minutes and I drove myself home. It was AMAZING! Dr Katz has a wonderful personality and so nice, he puts you right at ease and is so compassionate. Thanks to all who helped him and I will definitely recommend Dr Katz to all who need a caring and remarkable surgeon!!
As a professional pianist, I was very concerned when I was told that surgery on both my arthritic thumb joints was necessary to stop the excruciating pain. As a church musician, it is important to me to be able to provide accompaniment for the congregation, vocal and instrumentalist, choir and ensembles. Dr, Katz assured me. I would be able to continue playing after surgery if I followed both his and the hand Therapist’s, Pat Mason’s instructions. I will be forever grateful to them.
I had the wide awake surgery on my hand and elbow. Surgery was very successful and amazingly easy. I was able to go straight from office to eat lunch. I took it easy the remainder of the first day. I did not require any pain medication and experienced immediate relief in my hand.
I coped with trigger finger for years. Finally broke down and saw Dr.Katz at Athens Orthopedic after my GP recommended him. Couldn't be happier. The surgery was a breeze, everyone was super nice and helpful and funny. I had only a local anesthetic and did not need to fill the prescription. The total time at the surgery clinic- which was in the office building- was 2 hours. Less than 2 weeks after the surgery and I am nearly healed, completely cured. Excellent experience. Top notch professionals.

Dr Katz is an excellent surgeon. He is extremely personable and caring. Very informative and easy to work with. Always on time. I highly recommend Dr Katz. He preformed surgery on both sides of my elbow and my wrist. My entire arm feels better than it has in years. I am very thankful to him! The physical therapy was on the same floor, so very convenient. Ginger Banner was my therapist and she is wonderful!!!
