After two years of requesting him to complete unfinished paperwork, charts and answer correspondence to insurance companies & others, Raleigh Neurology suspended and ultimately fired David Cook. As part of his suspension he was required to turn himself in to the NC Medical Board as a disruptive physician. The woman who complained is telling the truth.
Most intelligent, caring, neurologist I have ever seen- I've seen dozens b/c serious migraine issues. Takes plenty of time. Treats whole person not just one aspect like every other dr. He really wants to help his patients and will do everything he can to do so. Being a migraine sufferer for 24 years, I have seen several other specialists in this area. I have never seen another physician, of any kind, who consistently stays on top of the research in the field. It is amazing the amount of individualized care and treatment that Dr. Cook provides.
Dr. Cook is a wonderful and caring physician. He is extremely ethical and would never do any of the thing that person accused him of. It's really sad when someone would try to slander the professionalism of a doctor because of their own personal agenda. I have been coming to see Dr. Cook since he was at Raleigh Neurology years ago. I saw Dr. Cook for migraines and he was compassionate and knowledgeable. He was innovative in his approach to my problem. He was great at both emergencies and long term care.
