First appointment seemed ok, he seemed very nice and concerned. He gave me tons of meds. When I started having problems with all the meds and I called his office he never returned my calls. I called numerous times. Then when I tried to schedule an appointment he rescheduled it 2x. When I finally decided to go to another neurologist, his office would not give me my medical records after numerous requests. I had to show up there and refuse to leave until they gave me my records. Took my mother to him for her dementia. He is a horrible MD. Impossible to get tests results from. Doesn't return calls. Never in office.
If I could give this doctor a negative rating I would. Went to him because I had headaches double vision and nausia. He ordered a CAT scan which I did but he never followed up. After pestering his office for weeks to get the resuls he tells me that he didn't see anything. After still suffering with the symptoms for 3 more months my pcp orders an MRI and finds out I have water on the brain hydropchepalus. I have been a pt. of Dr. Yacoub for a very long time, and its true i have seen different staff, but im not going to lie, the staff that is there right now are very polite, helpful and nice. It is true i have heard when he slams the door and talk loud to the staff.
To the person who justr wrote below I would love to ask WHICH office staff?? Because I was a pateint of his for over two years and have seen a new office staff every 3-4 months! Secondly only once being late... He was never late to my apt because He ALWAYS resch. I stayed for a long time because I had trobles getting into see another doctor. However, I wish I would have changed a long time ago. Please look else where
I have been a patient of Dr. Yacoub for 1 year. He has been professional, kind and thorough with my medical care. I have never had an issue with prescriptions and have found his office staff very helpful. They have completed all requests in a timely fashion. Dr. Yacoub has been late for 1 appointment and this is frustrating, but it is unlikely that any doctor will always be on time and not overbook their patients. I would recommend Dr. Yacoub.
I saw Dr. Yacoub once several years ago to assess a new onset of seizure disorder. He ordered an MRI of my brain,at least,but his office never called me with the results. I got the report MYSELF. My pcp referred me to him. I told my pcp how rude and inappropriate his behavior was,and to never refer any humans to him again! This man should not be a doctor! He is rude, lazy and a liar. Never returns phone calls, cancels appointments all the time. I had 4 appointments changed before I finally got in to see him. He doesn't seem to be all there and I don't feel he listened to me at all. He also interrupted me when I tried telling him my symptoms. I also saw the way he looked at his staff. this is the worst doctor I went to he was very rude refused to give me my childs prescription and told me its not his problem...never returns patients phone calls..and close the office whenever he doesnt feel like seeing patients
