Contrary to negative review i read I have positive experience with Dr. Lacap. She spent time explaining to me the trigger of my issues. I wrote down everything she advise me as it was very simple tasks to do. My first long psych doctor never spoke to me on appointments more than 3 minutes. Dr Lacap we have over 50 minutes conversation. I felt she cared with my issues she is very traditional and I like it. Aside from my great primary doctor Dr. Reyes Dr. Lacap is the second doctor I met and I’m planning to keep her for good a... read more
Dr. Yap-Lacap was 15 minutes late for my 9 am appointment (I watched her walk into the building), and only acknowledged me by calling my name and saying who she was. I walked in the first meeting w/ her and she already wanted to diagnose me with Anxiety, without even doing any due diligence in assessing me. I do NOT have GAD, I don't meet the DSM-5 criteria in any way. I recently assessed for ADHD and she dismissed the diagnosis. Then she interrogated me about drug and alcohol use in a very aggressive and accusatory manner. ... read more
"Possible DANGER; i'm going to return to this later. Yap lacap possibly did something to my medication. During one video appointment we talked over gender dysphoria and medications. And, i said i wanted to focus on my underlining issues as the psychiatric medications didnt take... After checking my camera at the top of my screen i look down at the screen and she starts acting weird... Later she says "non dysphoric"; i write a message and say "hey during the appointment we said this was an UNDERLINING CAUSE that caused psycho... read more
Ok, so Dr. Aileen Yap-Lacap, is one of the few doctors who fixed a major discrepancy in my diagnostic chart. She actually diagnosed me CORRECTLY in regards to my situation. I had a life long distance from my father pretty much and had only interaction with my mother and sister. She got diagnostic correct as transgender and personality issue. Its not a nasty personality; its anxiety/social phobia and transgender personality. Many times in regards to social interactions i've felt too female. The developmental issue without fat... read more
I have serious concerns about the professional conduct of this doctor and whether she is violating her professional license. She has written incorrect medical notes about me. she did not do a thorough examination of me . I was in dire need of anxiety and depression medication relating to my stressful work conditions. I told the doctor that I had what I believed to be a panic attack and she didn't even ask me about that incident in detail. Furthermore, she told me she would prescribe me prozac and never did. Meanwhile my ment... read more
She took one answer and ran with it. By the end I was diagnosed with something totally random from what I struggle with.
Rude, judgemental, and not professional. She invalidated the way I felt and over 30 years of psychiatric diagnosis' by other psychiatrists and counselors in a 1 hr appointment. She pushes her own beliefs and talks a lot of mental nonsense. If you get an appointment with her RUN and reschedule with someone else. She is one of the worst mental health care professionals I've ever seen.
Was more interested in what was documented in the computer than what I had to say. My insurance has changed many times in the last decade and their records are incomplete. Was stringent to the point of being insulting. I would not choose to see her again.
Dr. Yap-Lacap listened to me and then gave me some good suggestions. She is very knowledgeable in her field of expertise and I learned a lot from her. I felt like she cared.
