My wife and I drove to Dover Chevrolet Wednesday night with hopes of bringing home a used Odyssey we had our eyes on. Upon further inspection there was a seatbelt issue and our trip home wasn’t to be. From my experience Dover Chevrolet lies and doesn’t give out information when you call them out on it. I left very upset when they tried ripping me off on the trade in value for 2 of my cars. I went straight to Portsmouth Chevrolet for the same truck for 8,000 less then what I was told was the best Dover Chevrolet could do for me.
Everyone worked with me to get the vehicle I wanted and the service department has been wonderful also, I would highly recommend them, I had originally gone to Portsmouth and had bought my last car there, but they couldn't get me what I wanted at my price point but Dover did.
Finance manager, Dave Poulin, lied straight to myself and my husband's face just to make a sale. I would have gone anywhere else had I know how sneaky this dealership was! I bought a vehicle not even a month ago from them. One of the worst experiences.
They made my credit drop 35 points from a 735 and than couldn’t even put me in a vehicle! Went to another Chevy dealership and got in a vehicle within a hour and they didn’t hurt my credit like this place did!! Didn’t have a good experience at all at this dealership and I’m very disappointed. But I will highly recommend Amesbury Chevy!
