Dorset hideaway has always been easy to work with - I’m happy to be using them for my next rental in April 2025
Avoid The Old Stables and The Orangery in Charmouth. Too close to A35. There is a builder's yard next door. VERY NOISY. Also parking for Old Stables is very small. Wall each side of parking bay, you could easily scratch your car.
The shepherds hut at the farm was very cute and it was a very relaxing weekend. My only niggles would be the condition of the blinds in the hut. They do need either washing or new ones as it’s not very appealing putting them down to sleep and they are covered in mould. The whole hut could have done with a better dusting as there was a lot of dust and cobwebs lying about which again doesn’t make you want to touch anything! Utterly disgusted with the state of the property, location and facilities in which was booked - so bad we left after an hour of being there. Outrageous! Impossible to get hold on anyone to discuss too! Save your money and AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Don't book with any of these "Hide away" companies, you are booking with a company that has hundreds of other companies all designed to ensure you will never be able to make a claim should you encounter a problem and protect the Directors. Check the small print to see who you are really booking with. You will find all these companies have the same Directors. It's legal but in my opinion morally wrong. I lost all my money when I cancelled the day after booking as there is no refund policy.
