DO NOT RENT ANY PROPERTY FROM THIS SHADY BUSINESS. My significant other, my two very small children, and I moved into an overpriced property last February. $1250 a month for a run down townhome. That property was littered with dangerous debris. We couldn’t allow our children to play outside, because there was glass, nails, wires, cigarette butts, and more all over the yard. They are very helpful and understanding I like renting with them and I’m honestly sad to say goodbye to apartment and to their staff. A special shout out to Kerri (I do hope I spelled that right) she has been there since I began renting with them and she honestly makes me feel at home when I’m in the office, she is a true gem there! EVERYONE has been more than helpful and kind there and 10/10 would recommend renting with them! :)
I have yet to see a review where Dorman actually takes responsibility for something. All I see in these reviews is how everyone else is at fault. Here is one that can't be disputed. I was informed a few weeks ago that an agent will be doing a walk through of my home, just 8 months after I moved in. Sounds fishy right? Normally pictures can be taken at the end of a lease; but, in less than a year? I was also informed that they will be taking pictures of the home, including my material possessions. Deanna - Our property owners can request up to two visits/property checks per year, at no cost, to just make sure all is well at the home. We take pictures at every spot-check appointment, or renewal appointment, and those photos are sent to the homeowner so they can see the general condition of the property. Our HOA has gone downhill since Dorman started managing it. They have issued special assessments without giving proper notification to homeowners, have charged fees and interest without any notice to owners that they’re delinquent, and withheld information about how to access our account online. Tonight at our HOA meeting, Dorman representatives were extremely rude, dismissive, and dishonest. If you’re looking for HOA management, do not choose this company.
Received an email stating that the home owners were willing to give us a prorated rent if we were to vacate early. We have been very cooperative getting everything done. Here we are in our last day of moving out and cleaning and I cannot get our account manager to return emails or phone calls to let us know the final steps. When is the final walk through. When do we get our deposit back. Where do we turn in keys. Call the office and we are told that only the account manager can assist. Beyond frustrated.
I am disappointed as a renter because no one should ever move into a home where the carpets smell of urine. I was shown a receipt that the carpets were professionally cleaned however it appears that the previous tenants paid for the service but the service was not provided. I own a professional steam cleaner and the dirty water was filled with urine, dirt and dog hair. I hired Dorman a few weeks ago to manage my home as I am moving out of state. My home was on the market for rent for 5 days and they were able to find a tenant, so fast. My experience with Dorman as a homeowner has been amazing thus far. Always available to answer my questions and keep me informed.
