25 years with the Dr. – Great food and BBQ sauce for centuries. The ambience of a truckstop but then I go there to eat the brisket, hot links, and macaroni salad. THe Doctor may be long gone but the memory lingers on and on.
The Low Ratings are from Yankees! – As a true native Texan, I can vouch for the authenticity of Dr. Hogly Wogly's. Despite the unfortunate name, the food is fantastic. The beef brisket is totally awesome and like true Texas barbecue, requires no sauce whatsoever. The pork was great too. BBQ lovers paradise – Every bar-b-que lover must go to this place at least once in their life. Best beef ribs in town. I'm from Chicago and this is the only bar-b-que around the LA area I have eatin at that compares with midwest quality meat.
It was alright – The sauce is great....the meat is tender...it's alright if you have a craving for B-B-Q.
Is there a Dr. In the house – I have never had worse ribs then the dr's I can say that I liked the beans and the macaroni salid
ribs to die for – I have been eating the good doctors ribs for over 20 years, you must try the center cut pork ribs at least once before you die.
No bad, but far from the best BBQ in Los Angeles. I can't understand why such a high rating. The Bear Pit up the street is vastly better.
ahhh – I've been there, too expensive for what they serve and not that great.
Yum, yum, yum! – This place is awesome. I've been going since I was kid, and I have never left unsatisfied! I take every new friend that I meet there. Here's a tip - ask for extra marinade, it's the best part.
