3 stars...I preferred the Dobbin House Inn. The tavern is small, limited menu that we only ordered beverage and went upstairs to dine. 5 stars...As for the Dobbin House, tavern/Inn, last night was my first visit. OMG... Inn was Fabulous! I enjoyed the whole experience, moreso because it was my birthday and no one was made aware. The menu was full of tasty selections, I ordered 1) Porage (sp?) Of The Day - Clam Chowder. Great place a must place to visit while in Gettysburg and oh the best apple pie I've ever had from a resteraunt!
I ordered the cheeseburger which was very good. I wanted the French onion soup (strained)but apparently that was impossible. I don't know why it's such a difficult thing to do in the kitchen. Get a strainer, ladle the soup into the strainer, add the bread, cheese and boil. This isn't the only Gettysburg Garryowen Irish Pub that is in capable of this request.
