The King's Onion soup is AWESOME. Dining in the tavern is always a great experience. I have alwzys had great food and service. It's a destination for me when visiting Gettysburg.

This place never gets old! Even thou I always get the same thing. Glass of Cabernet, French onion soup and a spinach salad with the best hot bacon dressing EVER. Linda was great and her side kick who helped her was also. See you all soon!!
We were given a gift card which we gratefully used. The setting is reminiscent of the past, as is the warm and comfortable interior. We were seated upstairs in a large bedroom. We had a private alcove. The service was outstanding, as were the plentiful portions of food. I enjoyed the best onion soup I have ever eaten. Everything was "the best." Wow! Quaint, unique and why wouldn't you have a drink and/or dinner. Yes it was crowded and we ate dinner at the Tavern bar, but what a great experience at a tavern built 1776! Let bed the candles all around!
