The downstairs Tavern was very cool and the food was great! Very decent prices and portions.
The BEST french onion soup...loved the atmosphere! Feel like I traveled through time. Highly recommend.

Every time I visit Gettysburg the Dobbin house tavern is a must. I highly recommend the chicken on a spit. It's the best food in Gettysburg and it's well worth the wait. Great atmosphere and the wait staff are very friendly.
Greetings from your Canadian friends!! Ate the char grilled steak sandwich (med. rare) and turkey and provolone BLT and hot apple pie a la mode in the tavern. It was so good that we could not get it in our mouths fast enough!! Portions fit the price, and it had a wonderful atmosphere. We can't wait to return before leaving for home!!
A10. A candlelight dinner in a colonial era house with excellent service, excellent food, and wonderful company. Could not have been better.
I called and made a reservation 1 week before stating I wanted their "bed table" where there was a canopy over our table. I explained it was my hubby and I 16 anniversary and that sounded so cool. We got there and it was very busy. We were seated at a small 2 person table in the middle of a crowded room. My Hubby and I couldn't even talk it was so loud. I told them I made a reservation for the bed tables (which I was very much looking forward to) and was told they were too busy and unable to seat us at one of those tables...... read more

We are sorry that your experience was not what you had expected. Unfortunately, the bed tables are in high demand and we can not guarantee those to guests (as there are only 4 such tables there are many nights when we get 10-12 requests for them.)
