We used to visit in years past with great food but Tuesday we were there and soooo disappointed. The pastries were cut, plated and lined up next to the bathroom for a dinner later that evening and at 2:00 and not covered....gross. We had a hamburger that was good but the so called amazing potato salad that I got was the worse ever until after I ate it I had stomach cramps for two days. We had noticed the place had gone down hill as far as repairs and should have taken that as a sign. Sorry

If I could have rated it higher, I would have. The atmosphere made me feel like I was right back in the time period. Perfect dim lighting for a romantic night out. The food was superb. The homemade fresh warm bread & muffins to start where delicious! I had the Drunken Scallops & they were the best I've ever had (& I'm from New England where there is plenty of seafood). Our waitress Sarah was excellent. Overall an amazing experience!!

The french onion soup and prime rib is our favorite!
One of our favourite places to eat in Gettysburg! Love the atmosphere in the Springhouse Tavern and the service and food and superb! Can't wait to go back!
