Went to granddaughter graduation from Temple on Dec 18. Then to Dirty Frank's. Hadn't been in Philly since 1964...fifty years later it has the same charm and customers. My wife of 44 years didn't believe me when I described it but is now a fan. I was glad to see Anthony Bourdain's layover in Philly with a stop at Dirty Frank's. Love that you can still afford a shot and beer..but bring cash(only)! Will always stop in when in Philly.

Worked here as doorman from 1968-1969 with Tom Smith, George Applin, Norman and John the owner...
I lived across the street above The Last Drop while I was a student at UArts from 2001-2004. Such a great bar and a great atmosphere to watch the Eagles. I still remember watching "4th and 26" there. I try to stop in whenever I'm in the city. The place doesn't change.
Great memories, where i spent my 21st! They even used to let me bring my dog in! :)
