Doctor didn't treat me like a person, didn't seem to have any empathy for my pain and wrote a work restriction slip that didn't make sense for my job. When I politely asked if he could revise it to address my job, he refused.

I met with Dr Bakker regarding my left foot. After reviewing my X-Ray, Doctor determined I needed a small plate and screws for my big toe and cleaning up my bunion. Surgery day came, Dr Bakker was efficient, did a great job and called the next day to make sure I did not have any complications. I found Dr Bakker to be a caring doctor, right to the point and skilled in his work. I, definitely, would recommend Dr Bakker.

Two minutes of my life I won’t get back. Told me to watch bump on my palm, never reviewed the three X-rays that were taken. Very arrogant and cocky. Felt like I was wasting his time. Did not allow me to tell him what was wrong. Never again, would not recommend him.

He was the most arrogant dr I’ve ever been seen by. Didn’t have time to hear what symptoms are and told me to just watch lumps in hands. Shuttles patients through like cattle. Seems like he just wants to make money and has no compassion. Will not recommend him and I will not be back!

My new right knee has let me ski better than before its replacement on June 11, 2020. High speed turns feel secure and controlled. Favoring my right leg is not evident anymore. I no longer have to manually assist stepping into bindings. I still do not like the clicking during lateral movements but I have a good understanding of how it happens after functioning the full size model of the prosthetic. Thank you Dr. Bakker for a job well done.

Treated me like I was the scum of the earth. Extremely rude and narcissistic. Shoulder surgery, been almost a year and still hurts, but of course it's not his problem....shrugging his shoulders at me!!! Will never go back to be treated like he treated me. Can't even believe the things he said to me!!

Dr. Bakker was recommended to us by his surgical staff. They all gushed about his competence, and they didn’t lie. He does a great job. Fortunately, having friends and family working in the same OR with all the orthopedists in W. Michigan was a blessing. They KNOW! He’s a fast -talker, so be ready to listen. He answered all our questions thoroughly and his self-confidence is readily apparent. My OR “spies” said he runs a tight ship so when they work with him, they know they better be on their game. We appreciate the outcome!
