After training for a half marathon and not paying attention to what my body was telling me, I was in severe pain. Jake listened and helped me get back out on the pavement. And if I hit a bump in the road, I've been able to follow up with him and he responds in a very timely manner. I have also discovered the benefits of having a sports massage. Rachel might be small, but she is mighty! She will set you straight! Love, love, love the team at DP!!

Looks like I won't need knee surgery thanks to Jake McCrowell, DPT Direct Performance Physical Therapy in Virginia Beach! Jake helped me change the way I walk, run, sit, stand and squat and I'm pain free. Ran a 5k a couple weeks ago with no problem. Also relaxed a leg muscle that's been cramped for years. Jake is professional yet light hearted. Wish I'd gone to him before the scary surgeon. I'm hiking the Smokies next month as planned.
I've had the opportunity to work with Rachel K of Direct Performance PT over the last few months receiving regular sports massages. She does a great job at pin-pointing "trouble" areas and really focusing on the individual and their long term goals. Looking forward to a strong and healthy 2017 with her support.
These guys are the best! I had chronic pain in both my legs and it was stopping me from running and working out. I saw Direct Performance twice a week over the course of about a month and after each session they reduced the pain and aided my recovery. Now I am pain free and back running and doing interval training. Highly recommended!!

Jake is seeing me for postop treatment on fai/labrum surgery on my hip. I cannot say enough positive things about Jake's treatment approach and the thoroughness of his recovery plan. I know I will be returning to weight lifting quickly and better than ever!
