I used to accompany my elderly father to dermatology visits with Dr. Dinneen (he had multiple skin cancer issues) and was impressed. My primary care doctor recommended another physician when I developed psoriasis, but I thought I would give Dr. Dinneen a try, given my family history. She answered several questions, provided some treatment options, and also found a 'suspicious' growth that she promptly froze off. Now I see her once a year.
6 years with Dr Dinneen’s office. I was told I had Basil Cells & Sqaumous cells which were removed in the office. No pathology records exist for any of it. Their record keeping is non-existent. Do not trust this office with your medical records. My new dermatologist was unable to get any past Pathology reports. My question is did they even do biopsies? My records show they did charge my insurance company. Stay clear of this place.
I hope my experience was the exception not the rule. Dr Dinneen barely spoke to me at my biopsy. Options for treatment was never discussed. I was scheduled a few days later to have a Dessication/Cauterization procedure done by an unamed PA. I thank God I have a medical background. I knew I wanted a Mohs procedure done. There is a greater chance the cancer will not return in that spot with the Mohs. Mohs is certainly not the right procedure for everyone. I should have been given my options. When my dermaologist moved 45 miles away, I found Dr. Dinneen who is local for me. In Jan 2023, I went only to get a prescription refilled; I had been on this medication for over 10 years (from two different dermatologists) without problems. She took me off the medication, without explanation. Then there were three office visits within 3 weeks, but still no prescription. I am waiting for a return phone call for over a month. I have been Dr. Dineen's patient for about 20 years. She has treated three basil cell carcinomas. She tracked a potential melanoma for about 16 years, discovered that it had become active, and referred me to a surgeon who removed it within a week. I have always found her attentive, a good listener, patient with my questions, and exercising an appropriate sense of humor.
When I visit her she is very thorough and matter of fact. She has helped me by removing cysts and freezing things that might cause me problems later. I appreciate the level of care she gives me.
She is a true healer to trust. She is friendly and direct in her approach and care.
Worst doctor experience I have ever had in my life. I'm 63 I've had lots of doctor experiences. This by far is the worst.
Have recovered from a malignant melanoma, there isn’t anyone I trust my skin with more than Dr. Dinneen. I see her twice/year, and she does skim checks for my wife and two kids. Highly recommend!
