one of the best in Austin – This place is GREAT! I eaten at a lot of Chinese resturant, heck, I worked at one for three and a half years and this one is my favorite. Maybe I just haven't found a better one. PFwho? When you go to an ethnic restaurant and 99% of the people there are of that ethnicity, you know it's got good food!
Decent – I've been to Din Ho a lot and I just decided to post my review. This restaurant is probably the top 5 Chinese restaurant in Austin. No, it is no where near Houston's Chinese restaurant level, but is a decent restaurant. Their BBQ and hotpot is pretty good. Turn off is the rice. They must use cheap old rice. Everytime I eat rice, I notice that it is extremely dry. When I took it home and microwaved it, it tasted like paper.
Barbeque! Chinese! Authentic! Forget the sesame chicken! This is the real stuff. Abandon the white, southerner mentality and really enjoy! Get your fingers greasy. I love the large TV in the corner!
The best barbeque! – We loved the sesame chicken, crispy chunks of chicken in a sweet sesame sauce, and the fried rice packed with pieces of roast pork. They do their own bbq'd meats and duck, it's amazing!
The Best Chinese in Austin – Fabulous food, good service and nice dining room. I loved the pepper pot and the orange beef.
The best Orange Beef ANYWHERE – Din Ho rocks my world. Their orange beef is to die for, and their duck is amazing. Sometimes I've had to wait a while, as they are often very busy, but it's worth it.
excellent – This restaurant is one of my very best favorites. I recomend the orange chicken. I also recommend the water spinach. The food is so good that it actually melts in your mouth. The chef's are very skilled and the food, well you can taste the originality.
Food good, service STINKS! – The food here is good and because of that I would recommend it to friends BUT b/c the service stinks I would not! If you are going to eat here eat in the restaurant b/c apparently their togo menu which looks exactly like their regular menu is wrong! I went to order a togo order and when I finally got the chance to order, the waitress that took my order was rude and told me that what I wanted to order. . .I couldn't. #1 chinese food – I just love this place and food. "Astin" My favorite chinese food. Din ho is serve real chinese food . I 've been going there for 3 years and the quality of chinese food has only improved. just like at hong kong.
