Almost, Sometimes – I've had a love/hate relationship with Din Ho over the years. Their BBQ is so good and the rest of their dishes were decent, but their service was horrible. However, years ago, there wasn't any other place to go for decent Chinese BBQ, so I would take their abuse to get the Q. When the Asian center opened up on N. My new favorite Chinese food place – If you haven't tried this resturaunt you are missing out on a great meal. Din Ho has a very wide variety of menu options and almost nothing was above 10 dollars. The food came out quick and piping hot without the saltiness of normal Chinese cuisine. Cheese Shrimp! – Food came out in less than 10 minutes, just as I expected from a Chinese restaurant. My friends and I go to this place monthly and it never gets old. We wish they did delivery.
So yum and open on holidays!! – Its Thanksgiving and my personal tradition is chinese food. I live off Riverside and of course nothing is open. I found only one chinese restaurant open today-Din Ho. Best authentic Chinese in town – I am Chinese and searched forever to find good, authentic Chinese food when I got to Austin until I discovered them. Yes, the restaurant is dingy, but it's gotten a face lift lately and there have been efforts over the years to clean it up a bit. Bad service – We had reservation and we still had to wait 30mins. Then by the time we got our food our bill came with it. Then on top of that we had 2 adults 2 child and a 5 month old and were charged gratuity. When I asked he said your baby counted. Never knew they charge per person and you have to pay for the food as well. Our overall experience as bad. It as dirty and over crowded. Half the time they don't understand what your asking for. Good!!! – I love this food place as a native Chinese but it's more sweet the food are sweetened but still taste like the food I had in China
Love it – Hands down best Chinese food in Austin (coming from a Chinese person!) get the sizzling bead curd and duck fried rice, you won't regret it!!
Very bad service – I used to like this restaurant, but the customer service has gradually gotten worse over the years, and that's a make-or-break it deal for me. When dining in, the waiter pretty much ignores you until the food is ready to be served or it's time to collect the money. But taking out has been fine...until recently.
