Very negative sheisters! They behave and conduct themselves incompetently & selectively shift their narrative onto member / applicant as if a security threat they allege justified offing member from its marketed checking account "deal." Do not go for an auto loan with this company it will only lead to disaster. They don't honor their words into their contracts even if you are a member with them. The customer service you receive from their employees is inept and you get a lot of lip service of deception and bad customer service relations and you get the same argument lip service from their supervisors. They are not trained in the laws of banking. As you can read on here I'm not the only person having problems with them. They don't need to be in business.
I thought **** was bad. Unbelievably unprofessional. Unethical as well. They claimed that I missed a payment in December which I certainly don't recall doing especially since my payments are AUTOMATIC. No notification from the bank that a payment was allegedly missed. consequently they have been charging me late fees associated with my automatic payments since than and reporting every payment since than as a month late. This bank is one of the worst I've ever dealt with. They are horrible on the phone, the wait times are ridiculous, and even if you think they have solved something, they didn't. Their cards get turned off if you go out of state and make a purchase, or even if you go to the other side of the state. Then you have to call them and waste your time turning it back on. Every Phone call with DCU is a pain and the customer is on-hold for about 30 mins and still could not reach customer service. Very poor telephone support from DCU
I HAVE BANKED WITH DCU FOR OVER 6 YEARS. I HAD 3 ACCOUNTS WITH THEM. NO PROBLEM UNTIL I REQUESTED TO CLOSE OUT JUST ONE (1) OF MY ACCOUNTS. WHAT DID THEY DO???? THEY CLOSED OUT MY MEMBERSHIP AND EMAILED ME THAT A CHECK IS ON ITS WAY TO THE ADDRESS ON FILE......HOLD ON!! I DID NOT WANT TO CLOSE OUT MY MEMBERSHIP. AND WHATS WORSE?? I DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH THE CHECK IS FOR AND WHO THE CHECK IS MADE OUT TO?? Very bad experience while processing wires. Funds are being held for long period of time when processing international wires. Nearly after 20 days after International bank processed transaction, i raised request to trace funds, after tracing funds they are saying they will take 10 business days to deposit into your account. Don't use DCU for your international wires.
I give DCU FIVE stars. I am a new customer and everything about DCU has been really great. The employees, rates and fees for products and technical web aspects have all been outstanding. I am just now closing on a DCU Home Equity Line of Credit, which I need because of delays in selling real estate. I researched online banks for the flexibility, low minimum balance and ability to do business remotely. Initially the company's customer service was ok. I should have known the red flags when their email server wouldn't accept my application because the file was apparently too large. Even though it was a small file. I got a hold of a second person, who was nicer than the first who basically said there was nothing she could do and that I needed to come in to a branch.
