DCU has become the worst Credit Union. Never open an account with them. They advertise that they give salary two days in advance, but actually they never do that. They say they give you overdraft protection of $1500, but when you really need it, they don't give you anything and return your check and charge overdraft fee. The other back also charges overdraft fee, thus you lose both ways. Customer service is very bad with long waiting time.

I applied for an auto loan to purchase a car from a private sale. I was told that my credit score was a little over *** which was not high enough to qualify for the low, advertised interest rate. I questioned this because I just checked my credit score earlier and it was over ***. I have applied for a credit card and auto loan with this bank. Got approved but they still need documents such as proof of address and ID. I have send it to them like thousands of time through emails and uploading in their file. Call them, talked to the representative. First, they act nice and stuffs but when they hear my voice cause my ID gender is a male but my voice sound more like a female. They start giving ****. I started banking with DCU in 2013 when I bought my first car. Of course the car I bought was a total lemon. However, I still continued to make my payments. I have a credit card with them and they have reported late payments one too many times. I have made sure that no payments to them have been late yet they sent me a late notice and when I called there was "nothing they could do" because it supposibly had been 30 days and they reported it to the bureau. My auto loans (two of them) have been serviced through DCU for the past four+ years and I am entirely unsatisfied with their customer service. My husband and I have done everything this credit union has asked of us - paperwork, making payments/fixing mistakes we've made, etc. - and this company has done nothing for us. We had to file bankruptcy for various reasons but wanted to keep our auto loans; so, we filed a re-affirmation agreement through our lawyer and with DCU - that was a year ago. Customer loyalty is not met with the same from the company. I went through 3 customer service reps to discuss a $30 fee because I had exceeded my ACH transfers I finally got an answer at least. The first messaged me, then said "You didnt respond, goodbye!" about 10 second slater the chat locks. The 2nd had a bunch of nonsensical verification questions(One about my sister buying a house?)
