All in all I am happy with DCU and have been with them for many years. But I want to warn people to stop using their **** ************ It used to be fine but in the last year I have been hit with hundreds of dollars in late fees because payments were not delivered by the scheduled payment date. Their only response has been "schedule earlier payments". My response is stop using *******************.
This should have the option for zero stars. I was speaking to a collections department representative about an issue with a block on my debit card due to a loan. I was advised by legal counsel to NOT engage with the loan, but to instead give them their information. I did just that, only to be told that the block on my debit card could not be lifted and that I would have to go to the nearest DCU ATM to withdraw funds and the closest one to me is 30+ minutes from me. I have been a customer of dcu for over 15 years with various accounts, car loans, student loans savings and checking. I recently had a fraudulent charges on my acct where they accessed $2954 from my savings and opened a line of credit in my name. It took me 3 + hours to get a human on the phone. They locked my card and acct and online access. They said they'd send me a card to replace my old one but never did. Been with this bank for 20 years and I am now leaving. They have gone way down hill the past few years. They absolutely screwed me with my **** pay account. I made a small error in the amount for one **** and they completely suspended my **** pay account and in doing so screwed me on my other bills and my credit score. Worst customer service unless you like to wait on hold for 3 hours just to be transferred to their **** pay. Email is not helpful either. On Oct 8th i tried to dispute a charge. Their online system only loads 5 transactions at a time, it took 10 minutes to load transactions till July then the system crashes . I called the customer service, waited only 10 minutes on hold ( usually 45 to 90 minutes) . I talked to some body with broken english who put me on hold THREE times , and the third time after 20 minutes we got disconnected. I called back and the system said i have to wait 7 minutes . Threaten to up my loan rate from 2ish to 18% because they lost the paperwork when I refinanced with them (seems like a scam). Time to answer phone is 2-3 hours. No helpful info.
Zero Start rated bank, did car refinance with them 2 years ago and did not receive updated title and no customer care representative could tell me what happened. more than 2 hours wait time and by that time i reach some one they say whatever the department that handles these requests only works 8 to 5 monday to friday.Don't know when will i get it.
Worse company in the world STAY AWAY! # and 1/2 hours on hold to find out my car loan payoff mountain SS # Member # not enough to give me that information. I need to be verified whatever the h*** that means!!!!
I refinanced in April 2021 and cannot get any documentation or answers to where my escrow went. I have no paperwork and numbers do not add up. I have been calling and have spoke to at least ************************************************************************** I have heard nothing and received nothing. If you call it says we are experiencing high call volumes. The same recording for over a year now. Worst customer service ever! I have the right to know where my money is. No one knows.
