DCU was great 8 years ago when my family became members. My elderly mom is so confused by the update in DCU personal banking portal and what her actual balances are. My credit rating has suffered being with them and so has my sons. You cannot excel in life with this bank, they hold you hostage (credit wise) for the money you made yearly at your first job out of high school and treat you as such. I switched to credit-union *** from 28 years at a regular bank.What a gigantic mistake!One of the main reasons I chose DCU was that I wanted to open a business account along with several personal accounts. (They boast about their ability to handle business accounts. That ability is actually non-existent.) I opened the personal accounts with no problems *at first*, but they made it so ridiculously impossible to open the business account that I gave up on that idea. Problems? I was an employee of Digital ********************** and this has been my bank for ~35 odd years. It was excellent back in the day, but over the past 10 years or so the customer service levels have dropped off. Lots of good benefits, but not always the best rates for loans or savings. Shame to see an institution drop into mediocrity; I used to be proud to be a member, but now I just feel lazy for not moving on sooner.
They approve me for a loan and credit card then my credit score dropped 85 points. Then they took the loan and credit card back is this legal. Now my score is low and all they can say is sorry bs
Horrible customer service. Stay away from them, unless you want to deal with huge frustrations and headache. These guys are unprofessional and clueless. I have been there customer for approximately 8 years and it seems the quality has gone down.
Great low rates, horrible customer service!I got a very low interest auto loan through DCU which was great. However, their customer service is absolutely awful. Even as a member I am still having to wait 3 hours on the phone. When I started my loan application they said it would only take 2 business days...I had to call back for weeks to finally get confirmation of approval. Wait time is always over 1-2 hours to get to an agent! I was told when I finally got to an agent that it is a different department that handles the issue I was having with my previous bank not receiving payoff check for auto loan I was informed it would be another ***** minutes to transfer to that department. Absolutely horrible!
Atrocious company and THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced. Beware of these people, they are scum and will lie and cheat to unlawfully take your money. My husband and I are desperate to close our accounts before they cause any more damage, but their offices are closed due to Covid and they don't monitor the phones or email. Have been a customer for ************************************************************************** size. Had my account locked while out of state and in the middle of a large bank transfer for a home refinance. Could not access my account on mobile or online and was told I could only unlock the account over the phone. Wait times are routinely 3 hours or more.
